MON - FRI, 9:00AM - 5:00PM (EST)This is the real, authentic Black Forest ham, made by Hans Adler OHG. It's a prosciutto-type smoked and cured "raw ham" (Rohschinken), quite different from what is known as the cooked Black Forest ham in the US.
Perfect with white asparagus. And for the charcuterie plate and large dinner parties. Cut of an inch and further cut that piece into paper thin slices.
Of course, you can slice and dice this ham to your heart's delight. Comparable in quality and uniqueness to Parma and Serrano hams, Adler's Black Forest ham is a great companion to great bread, melons and just eaten by itself.
Cover the ham in dish cloth and keep refrigerated after opening the package. The ham, protected by a hard rind, will stay fresh and edible for months inside the refrigerator, wrapped in cloth. Only use plastic foil to cover the cutting edge.

Best enjoyed: 1. Cut a 3/8" slice off the ham 2. Lay flat and remove rind 3. Slice paper-thin strips or cut into small cubes.

Have not had this in years. Had to purchase and I am glad I did. Little over a pound which seems like not a lot however, thinly sliced as it should be it went a long way and was delicious. Will buy again but all I see is the larger sizes.
