I can't believe I'm drinking instant coffee!

I grew up on the West Coast (of the US), where coffee was a thing. My great grandparents owned a "Fine Coffees and Teas" coffeehouse until it was destroyed in the 1906 quake. Me, I only claimed to be a coffee snob wannabe - until I traveled to Germany in 2015 and had Dallmayr coffee. About a year ago I tried Dallmayer Gold instant coffee. OMG, this is better than the Dallmayr Classic I was making with my $240 (almost plastic-free) single cup drip machine. Tastes vary, of course, but if you like Dallmayer classic (medium roast, full body, just a little acid) this is definitely worth a try.
